A New Way To See

Through the lens of art, perspective is the act of drawing solid objects on a two-dimensional surface so as to give the right impression of their height, width, depth, and position in relation to each other when viewed from a particular point.

Perspective means to take a close look at an idea, object, or collection of ideas from a particular standpoint. It’s about defying surface logic to place a deeper value — to shed light on another, or perhaps new view of what is.

Perspective requires that we decipher reality in degrees,  and land on some aspect or representation of a truth. An alternate way of judging  or perceiving something for ourselves or for others.

The trick is that, we cannot objectively know for sure the many perspectives that there are in a given situation. We must choose a point of view. We must make a choice to take a particular attitude toward or way of regarding what is in front of us when we encounter it.
